This was our second time hiking Lake Twenty Two. The first was a few years ago in the late summer, and the lake looked like this:
This is one of my favorite hikes in our area - it's about an hour away from our house, and the trail is about 5.5 miles roundtrip with 1350 ft. elevation so it's fairly easy. You can also follow the path around the lake, but there were avalanches on the far end so we decided not to risk it this time.
This time it looked a bit different than the time in the summer!
It was fairly dry on our way up, but it poured the whole way down. We were soaked and freezing by the time we got to the car. We had fun anyway! :)
