The final stop on our road trip before we headed to Denver was Arches. Arches & Canyonlands are pretty close to one another, so we camped at Dead Horse State Park while we visited both.
Fiery Furnace
One of my favorite days of the whole trip was completely unplanned - we stopped by the visitors center in the morning before we were heading out to do some hikes. There was a sign up sheet to get a permit to go into the Fiery Furnace - most of the year there are ranger-led tours of this area, but since we were there later in the season we missed out on those. Instead we got the basic training and were on our own to explore!
