I can't believe we live just a few hours away from the incredible beauty of mountains like this! We drove up to the North Cascades after work on Friday and spent the weekend hiking. It was a warm, sunny weekend and we enjoyed the break from running errands and unpacking boxes at our new apartment.
Hiking in the North Cascades makes you feel like you're in the Alps... I was tempted to break out in Julie Andrews impersonation and twirl around singing about the Sound of Music.
We learned that the best views in the park are on the backpacking trails, so we will have to come back and do another trip into the uncharted territory of the park!
